Heavy to breathe in after smoking 5 packs of cigarettes?

I ve been smoking 1-3 smokes 5 days a week for about 3-5 months and now I haven t smoked for about 3 weeks but I feel that my breathing has gotten heavy and it s harder than before to breathe in. Could it be some allergy or something else? Should I be worried?

Smoking is affecting your lung capacity. It narrows down your air passage ways making it difficult to get air in and out of the chest.
I would advise you to take steps to quit smoking before things get worse. It can also give you cancers of mouth, throat, lungs, kidney, liver, pancreas and so on.
A relative of mine who smoked 2 cigarettes a day for almost 10 years got throat cancer. He cannot even swallow his own saliva. It's too painful.

The same thing is happening to me :( Sadly I don't have any advice. I'm seeing a doctor soon. I smoked for 2 years and quit for a month but still am wheezing and can't breathe right. It sucks because just a few months ago I was breathing fine so I wish I quit a little bit sooner.

You know what though, at least we quit so it won't get worse. I hope you feel better soon! I would see a doctor.

I would Call your Doctor and make an appointment.

It could be that the phlegm is breaking up in your lungs, which would be a good thing.
