Why do people think this generation is SO spoiled?

Every generation thinks that the next is spoiled. Why is that? I don't think this generation is spoiled. I mean, come on, you know that if you had the type of technology these kids had, you would act just like them. And besides, spoiled children are not born but created. So obviously my generation (1980-1990 generation) did something wrong to the kids they had, right? Or the generation before that. So why is this generation the nastiest, most spoiled?

My great-great-great-grandfather always told my family that the 1860's through the early 1900's were the greatest times in the world and that he couldn't have chosen a better time to live. He was involved in the Victorian period in Great Britain and he absolutely loved it(and I would have too if I was born then). But the government brainwashing people and separating morals that make our world kind is why our generation sucks. Kids also would rather spend times on computer or phones than talking with family, and that's also why. They don't go outside or nothing. Just technology... That's your answer. This era(and every next technology-advancing era) will always suck and will only get worse. The government will know how to control people more, media will cause riots, and the government is crap. So that's why.
