Why did my insurance price go up like crazy? I am paying almost double the amount.?

I am 35, single, have zero traffic point, no accident. I was paying $100 a month but now my insurance price is like almost doubled. I called insurance company many times but the lady who works there couldn't figure out the reason. She said she will call me back and never did. All email questions are ignored. It's farm bureau insurance btw. I was thinking it might be credit score because my credit score went down to under 660 due to some personal matter but even when I had credit score 750+, 1.5 years ago, My insurance was going up from 100 to 140 then 160 and now 180+. What is going on here? Should I just change insurance company?

If your insurance company does not know, you can pretty well be assured nobody here will know either.

You might want to shop around for another carrier. That does seem to be a pretty large jump in premiums for no traffic tickets? Have you turned in any claims? Moved?

Go to a comparison site - companies regularly bump up premiums in the hope you either wont notice or want the hassle of changing.

You got a new policy with a "dec page" (declarations page), correct? Compare that page, line by line, with the dec page from the previous policy. That will show you exactly where the changes are.

if they don't know, we don't know, shop around and if another company is cheaper change. did you buy a different vehicle ? did your driving miles change because of a new place of employment or did you move to a different neighborhood
