My best friend is having marriage problem and she asking me for advice.?
I don’t want to get involved because her husband is my cousin. Anyway, she told me that when she was younger, her mother would say to her be with a man that has money and can provide for you. Today she follows her mother advice and married a man with money. So she had a dispute with her mother and the mother called the husband and told him to watch out for her daughter because she is with you for your money. The husband arguing with my friend telling her to quit college and get a job and start paying 50 percent of the household expense. What advice can I give my friend regarding her mother and others.

I think your friend has been an idiot and its come back to bite her her husband is 100% correct in asking her to contribute she should have sorted herself out RE college before conning a man into marrying her because she was after his money now he knows what she is like its up to her to prove her worth
what advice can you give her? All of the above if you want to give her constructive advice if you dont want to be honest, tell her you dont want involved because her husband is faily
Steer clear of it. Tell your friend you really feel bad that she is having marital problems, but that because her husband is your cousin, you think it's best that you stay out of meddling in their business. Your friend's mother is the psychotic one in all this, and had no right to stir up that kind of trouble for her own daughter?! But again, I don't think those are opinions you want to get into providing to your friend. She is a grown adult and needs to deal with her mother and husband separately.
As the mother is a psychopath she should cut her mouther out. Her husband is hurt, who wouldn't be. Not sure how to fix it as I'm not sure how she feels about the guy. People do fall in love with rich guys too, you know...
Remind your friend to remind her husband all the reasons why he opted to marry her in the first place. None of those reasons had anything to do with her paying 50%.
