When would the vice president tell the manager?

We had a meeting with the vice.president.
We told him that we dont want steven as our manager.

The vice pres assured us that it will never happen.

When do you think the vice president told steven the news?  Our meeting was on monday.

We are very happy now.

This comes down to the discretion of the Vice President and when he felt the time was necessary to inform Steven of the decision made.  Time can also be a factor if your department/section/area is being restructured/moving in a new direction as getting new personnel in place is essential for moving forward.
