Camilla is the wife of the Prince of Wales and the legal Princess of Wales, though she doesn't use the title. She outranks Kate Cambridge, whose husband is merely second in line to the throne.

It is not true. It's a bit complicated. Camilla is Princess of Wales, wife of the next king;she has chosen to use another title of her husband's to honor the late Diana, Princess of Wales. As wife of the very next monarch, she is second lady of the land, followed by another future queen consort, Catherine. Since Camilla is senior in ranking, she is the one to whom Catherine would curtsy if Charles is present. The rules of protocol are that when Camilla is with Charles, less senior royals bow or curtsy to her during the very formal occasions that call for advanced etiquette. When Camilla is by herself, then she is the one who curtsies to Anne, Beatrice, Eugenie and Alexandra, princesses of the blood royal. The same goes for Catherine. Both Catherine and Camilla are royal through marriage, and not in their own rights, so when without their royal husbands, they are less senior in ranking than royals of the blood.
Since Catherine will be queen consort after Camilla has held the role, she is junior in status to Camilla, so she is the one who would curtsy.

Camilla is wife of the Heir to the throne and outranks all other women who have married into the Royal family. As Lady Louise's parents have chosen for her to be titled as the Daughter of an Earl she is outranked by Camilla and Catherine. On official occasions Camilla outranks all other women in the Royal family except the Queen. When Charles ascends to the throne, Camilla will outrank all women, even those of the blood Royal.

No body has to curtsy to catherine if they do not want to, for the record, as an older woman and wife of the next king it is catherine that should curtsy to camilla, but the royals do go in for it that much, you will see them curtsy to the queen in public.By the way, thre is no such person as princess kate, she is not a princess as she is not of royal blood, she is a duchess.

Camilla does not have to curtsy to Catherine - it's the other way around. Catherine has to curtsy to Camilla. Camilla outranks Catherine, because Camilla is married to the Prince of Wales and will be the next Queen Consort. Catherine is only Duchess of Cambridge, even though she is married to the second-in-line to the throne.
