$100 is an excellent price for a Henry in good condition....and if its the "older" Henry- its a fantastic deal. Average value for a new model should be $200(+/_) , and the older model- more. Sig makes a good gun....the 2340 with both barrels should be worth $500 in good shape, maybe more if excellent.
(edit: well, i don't have red hair, I'm balding dark brown hair, and on my last leg. If I was 30 years younger I just might strike up a conversation.)
What is the value of a Ford F-150? Is the value different if it is rusty, scratched, and 20 years old?
News flash. When people sell guns online they list them with 12 to 20 perfect, in focus and well lighted photos taken from all possible angles and include a full description of the gun and it's blemishes and faults. You - did not do this. So - nobody can tell you anything.
Go to gunbroker.com or gunsamerica.com and find an identical gun in identical condition and see what they are SELLING FOR. Look for guns with bids - mark the auction and come back once it has hold. Understand that guns with no bids - will be overpriced and not a good reflection of actual value.
I think you'll find that about half of the .22s you come across will be above average and the other half probably fall below less than 50% when you look a them a little closer, not worth much of a bother. Now, when you see as many as I do, there's that one in a hundred .22 that's better than 99% of the ones you'll find out there, maybe that's the same one you got there.
So try to figure value? I can;t help you get a better price, but if you're selling, tell your mark you have someone coming over with cash right now that's ready to buy if the don't move now it'll be gone.
