The name Rose (see description)?

I have a second-cousin, a great aunt, a best friend, and a favorite on-screen character named Rose. But would it still seem basic to use that name as a middle name for my child, since it's so common? Thoughts?

I love the name Rose. Yes, it is very common as a middle name but I don't think that should necessarily dissuade you from using it. The name is a classic, so while it may be common at least it won't sound dated or trendy in the future like a lot of other common names. I agree that you could consider names like Rosalie, Rosa, Rosemary, etc. if you feel that Rose is too popular, but I personally prefer just Rose.

Just because lots of people (who you may never meet) elected to give their kid Rose as a middle name doesn't mean that it's completely eliminated from your kid's middle name choices. If you like the name and have a good enough reason for it, GO FOR IT. Much better than the crazy names out there, like Abcde.

Rose is beautiful. If you're worried still, maybe a variation of the name, like Rosemary, Rosalie, Rosanne, Rosa, etc could work. It's also not used much as a 1st name if you'd like that.

But overall if you want to use it, just do it. It's a beautiful name.

Primrose is a good variation of the name rose. However, I think it's beautiful for a first name.

Anything can be agrandized or diminished by anyone. But you have solid reasons for using Rose. It's a pretty name, so use it in good conscience.
