What's your thought on the name Rose for this character?

cute dainty innocent little name!

She's a beautiful, yet mysterious florist. She's a flower girl who loves to plant flower, and bring them to town to sell. She mostly dress in white or baby pink dress. She have auburn brown long wavy hair, pale-pink skin, big amber eyes, and pink lips. She's beautiful yet mysterious, and her smile can melt any guy's hearts, even the hardest one to melt. She's always seen with a faint smile and bright sparky jewel-like eyes, and standing on her heaven-like flower field choosing the most beautiful flower to sell. (p.s she's in love with the cold hearted hero, he dearly loves her too but she passed away) that's why i need a memorable, and gorgeous name that perfectly capture her image! :)

Since Rose is like a princess of all flower, and she is a florist, everytime the hero see a rose, he';; be remind of her :)

Rose is pretty, and describes innocence. But it is a little ironic considering the description above.

I think it's a bit too obvious honestly. Maybe Rosalie, it is still pushing it but not as much. I think using an actual flower name for a florist will make readers think you were not creative enough to think of something else.Perhaps names that means Rose or flower.

    Briallen- primrose- Welsh

    Romy- Rosemary- German

    Raisa- Rose- Hebrew

Florence- Flowering- Italian (A common nickname for Florence is Flora so to have a name that happens to have such a nickname does not seems as obvious)

    Fiorella- Little flower- Italian

    Lynnea- Flower- Scandinavian

    Susanne- Lily flower

Just my opinion but I hope this helps :)

I like it!! It is kind of common though, but it does seem like a good name for the character you described. Here are some other suggestions I think would also go well-

Rosalie (Like Rose, but less common)

Rosabella (Again, like Rose but unique)

    Lily (Flower name)

    Amber (She has amber eyes)

    Lilac (Also flower name)

Nora (Soft name. Seems to match her personality well)

    Hope this helps :)

I do really like it, but the one thing I'm thinking is that considering she is a florist, some people might think her name is a bit of a cliché. But I think aside from that it not only sounds like a good story, but her name fits her description. If you think it is cliché though, some recommendations for other names I have are...

    Roxanne

    Iris

    Jasmine

    Tara

    Hope this helped!!!

How about Amber or Autumn? If she's a florist and her name is Rose, that's a little too coincidental to me. Good luck!

cheesy...the name belabors the point of her personality; it's banal and trite.

It's like you're hammering us with the concept as tho you think your readers are too stupid to grasp the idea.

When an author treats me as tho I'm stupid, I never bother to finish the book.

I'd give her any name that WASN'T a floral name to avoid overkill of the theme.

Give her a classically simple name like Claire or something really old-fashioned like Althea.

Ok, it's sort of weird and tacky to name a florist rose. That's unrealistic.
