The payment of course can vary. It can be anything from cash or a nice night out or gifts or financially supporting her or payment rendered in the form of romancing her or the most difficult payment of all, investing the time to develop a caring emotional relationship.
Regardless of the the type of payment the man makes, doesn't he always winds up paying for sex somehow.

In retrospect, it does seem so. We pay in emotional investments, in furnishing shelter, and supporting offspring, or by outright exchange of currency. Somehow, we pay, like it or not. We can rationalize all day, but we do indeed give something of value for sex EVERY time.
You only pay financially if you don't learn to say no or just stop giving your money out to someone who doesn't actually care about you, I've never had a guy I date pay for me anymore than I pay for him. No one who sees you as an equal and respects you will demand that.
If you think investing in someone emotionally is a paying for sex, then that's just... manipulation. The other person is probably paying for that more than you. You're wasting their time and using them by pretending you care about them for sex. Which is just as bad as the women who use you for money.
Yes , Bateman's Principle in action , a woman is hard wired by evolutionary biology to seek a provider & protector. No different from the female birds in my garden selecting displaying males , she chooses the males she deems fittest to help feed her & her future offspring.
