Why is the American left so anti-Russian and pro-Islamic extremist?

This makes no sense to me.

You would think that the left would embrace Russia, the former Soviet Union, and the KGB Colonel. I mean, even Bernie thought that the Soviet Union was the best ever! And yet the left seems to be upset that Trump has developed a relationship with them.

Then, you have Islamic extremists who subjugate women, kill gays, behead Christians and seek to annihilate Israel. The left wants to bring them in by the boat load, seeing them as victims of OUR oppression or something.

I don't get it. Everything the left supports outside the United States is just the sort of thing that they would oppose inside the United States.

Please explain.

The American left is so anti-Russian because it allows them to accuse Trump of treason.

The American left is so pro-Islamic extremist because it allows them to accuse Republicans of bigotry.

The left has always been friendly with Russia. Gorbachev was a hero and savior to the left in the 80's -90's.
The left accuses Reagan, Bush, of having their finger on the nuke button.
But now the left must turn coat and slam Russia to advance the Russian hacking to damage Trump.

The left also sides with gay killing women hating Islamics in order to accuse Republicans of bigotry for trying to secure the borders and stop middle east refugees.

So it is very easy to see how Democrats will abandon their core values to gain a political advantage.

The Democrats were pro Russian until Hillary Clinton got embarrassed by her crimes and had to blame some third party for being an enemy.

Libs are against serious law breakers. Educate your self by learning of Putin's atrocities ... libs are against that.
Libs are also against terrorists ... not law abiding Muslims. If you want to throw every Muslim on the same bus of oppression you will persecute innocent people ... how humanitarian.

Wrong. The left doesn't want to bring in radical Muslim terrorists you can't find anyone in office saying that. Bernie didn't think the USSR is great. Perhaps you should do some research before you sling out trump style lies
