suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement nearside front [2.4.g.2] Can anyone tell me what part I need to get to correct this and if it is possible for me to do myself or does it need to be done in a garage with specialist tools . If possible please provide me with pic or link of part required for purchasing I'm in uk in case that makes a difference

You will need a new rubber bush, take the old one off and take it to get one the same
it is a lot cheaper and so much easier if you just get the whole new control arm. cause you will have to remove the control arm beat the bushing out cuss a lot beat the new bushing in. go to the parts store get special tools spend more money cuss even more and at the end of the day your ready for a beer and your car is still in pieces in the front yard cause you went the cheap way and got the bushings for 10-30 bucks in stead of getting the whole control arm for 100 and been done in like 30 mins so pick your poison .....
If you lack a trolley jack and axle stands, a metric socket set, a large hammer, levers, spring compressor and a torque wrench then it’ll be a garage job.
Honda cars of that period usually have the bushes bonded into the suspension arm as an integral part of the arm assembly.
The job will be a few hundred £, largely due to what Honda charge for the arm (about £300). But there are also third party suppliers for many models which are pretty much as good but typically cost half as much. Labour is about 1 to 1.5 hours per arm so about £75-ish.
If one side has bad bushes, the other side often does as well so it’s common to replace both at the same time. However, your car is old enough that it makes sense to only replace one arm if the other is still good, as otherwise it becomes cheaper to sell your car and buy another CRV in better condition. But on a car that old, that may also be expected to have other hidden faults waiting to bite you on the bum.
Visit a Honda dealer parts department. They will show you an exploded diagram. A good box of tools may let you change it. Best to do BOTH sides at the same time.
