I want to get a set of white wine glasses, I buy from Riedel. I see there is an unoaked glass for Chardonnay and an oaked. I honestly have no idea if the white wine I will be drinking will be oaked or unoaked. Does it matter which glass I buy not knowing this? Or which glass should I buy not knowing if I am going to be drinking an oaked or unoaked chard, and I do not want to buy both sets?
Thank you

My guess since your question is 2 months old, you have already bought what type of wine glasses already.
I had never heard of a oaked or non oak wine glass until I saw your question and then when googled, saw Reidel with wine glasses.
My late husband and I have drank wine for years and in the beginning was red, then before he died, did not tolerate it, thus drank mainly white which was chardonnay and now I have become a fan of Sauvignon Blanc.
But in my family,(8) everyone drinks wine, be it red or white, thus I have a combination of all types of wine glasses and the biggest problem with wine glasses is that they will break at (sometime), thus may have problems of finding the (exact) glass to replace the others.
So, never ordered online, but prefer to go into a store and look at it, thus with some like the look of crystal, or I have sets that are different colors, (red/yellow/blue/green) different markings like rings, or lines , or one has a unique rose color in the middle that I got as a wedding present, but can’t find another one anywhere, thus one person picks a red one, or a rose one, and they know (which) one they have if they put down, and will know that is theirs.
Years ago, they brought out (stemless) wine glasses, that to me look like cups vs a wine glass, thus when my step daughter bought me 4, to this day never use for wine, but for juice or milk, since to me I want a stem on my wine glass.
I probably had up to 25 or more wine glasses and have gotten rid of at least a dozen since I am moving next month. But, if I had to guess in the last 25 years, have bought 50 or more, due to them breaking.
