Can someone give me some good song ideas?

Lyrics are poetry, write poetry & journals and sing them with some music you create. Some like the lyrics first, some like the music first. Personally I'd like the music first then I'd add the poetry. Depends also if this is strictly your music or if it's a collaboration....Show more

There are many things you could write about! You can do it on your emotions...
1. If you are angry, write a rap/soul/pop/heavy metal song about it.
2. If you are happy, write a pop song about what things make you happy or if you are meeting someone you haven't met in years.

But, the real idea lies within you... You can write about opportunities or a motivational song. You could write about some horror stuff. (mumble raps are pretty popular nowadays)
