What is a good way to visually express cynicism?
I'm using pictures of a rat in a presentation and I want to add accessories or change the background to express that the rat is cynical.

In my opinion the background should have lots of shades of grey and perhaps place the rat in a back alley. If you are going for a more cartoony aspect you could put a little rain cloud over his head. The background could have a lot of trash and a magazine on the floor with a negative topic that represents the background
