I went to one on in South Carolina on a roadtrip and it was so good! The waffles weren’t like belgian waffles, they were thinner and tasted better. Why don’t they have these up north (like Connecticut, where I’m from)?

Because the North has Real diners, not usually found in the South. A Waffle House probably can't survive the competition. Ever notice that you can't get Grits north of the Mason-Dixon line either?
