Will I be bald?
If my father's side is bald, and all my mother's side have thick hair, will I likely be bald?
Also, does shaving my hairline cause baldness?

Classic George Costanza Male Pattern Baldness comes from the mother's genetic contribution. They actually know the exact gene that causes it. So if your mom's dad has thick full hair then you won't get that horseshoe shaped bald spot on the top of your head. There are other forms of baldness from things like poor nutrition, medical problems, illness and more. Shaving hair doesn't cause baldness any more than it makes it grow thicker or darker -that's a myth. THere is an exception -if you look like a clone of your father to the point where old people come up to you and call you by your dad's name. Even so you could still end up with mom's hair genes -which would mean less balding than your dad.

It's purely the luck of the draw.
NO!
Hmm good question.
It is hard to say for me. I don't understand how the genetics of hair works exactly.
But as far as I know you could get either good hair or bald hair since u have potential from both sides.
However, usually the two 'genetic pools' equalize.. so your hair would be between the two.
However, there are multiple other factors such as diet, sun exposure, stress and more that affect your baldness.
Does shaving hairline cause baldness?
I mean it could potentially as it exposes the scalp to 'excessive sun' which can damage it and thereby kill off hair follicles.
But I do not feel comfortable in saying it 'causes it'. but it could contribute.
