a lance so he can joust with them, if they want to get attacked by a lunatic. This
guy is going to be out of jail after serving just nine months for this horrific crime.
The guy he attacked was 70 years old and could not even stand up!

He doesn't have a thick skin, just because someone says something you don't like doesn't mean that you should murder them for it. You are free to choose as you would like, but you must also be prepared to face the consequences of your decision. He murdered a man, he does not deserve to continue to live life normally.
Pick and choose your battles, and he needs to have more consideration for human life than that. By doing that, he's demonstrated his complete disregard for human life, and all of those people that homeless man was likely tied too, who are now destroyed.
