Intersex people already exist and there are many different forms of that. Some have undescended testes but also a vagina. Some have a tiny penis and a shallow vagina. There are many permutations to this condition.

gametes (sperm/eggs) tell you which sexe you are, not which gender.
A third gender could be gays, lesbians, eunuchs, turner's , klinefelter's
