God doesn't want the building, he didn't ask for it in the first place.

They are not Christians but Roman Catholics.

Such a simple, obvious and glaring failure.

But your point is valid, resources should be for life not the pride of man and buildings, art etc.

There are no real French Christians left.

We have few cultural Christians in France. Rest are atheists and Muslims.

The cathedral was a tuorist spot attracting 30000 visitors per day. It has nothing to do with Christianity anymore.

Catholic is not Christian.  Catholic is false doctrines that lead to hell.  The catholics should fix it, but they are using all their money on paying sex abuse victims.
