If your mom married your stepdad, who then had kids by her and later adopted you, are your half-siblings now considered to be full-siblings?

I'm pretty sure that if you are adopted, then legally, they become your full-siblings because adoption erases all the half stuff. But I wanted to be sure because the question has come up a couple of times.

Perhaps in an inheritance case this could be an issue. I agree that "adoption erases all the half stuff."

Legally , they are full siblings as they share 2 legal parents.

Yes, legally they are full siblings. Genetically/biologically they are half siblings.
