If your mom married your stepdad, who then had kids by her and later adopted you, are your half-siblings now considered to be full-siblings?

I'm pretty sure that if you are adopted, then legally, they become your full-siblings because adoption erases all the half stuff. But I wanted to be sure because the question has come up a couple of times.

Perhaps in an inheritance case this could be an issue. I agree that "adoption erases all the half stuff."

Legally your mother is your gaurdian. An if the stepdad take custody of you you would most likely be marked as his child as well your step siblings are biologically your half-siblings as well so legally there just your brother and sister but more or less depending on the situation they might be marked as your half-siblings but it really doesn't matter since you all have the same mother so legally no biologically yes but I guess it depends on the circumstances and then how it needs to be proceeded through specific legal matters.
