Really? You do NOT want new cabinets? Why not? Take a one-week vacation and return to new cabinets.

You have to allow it - but he needs to either find you somewhere else to live while the work is going on, or you can arrange to deduct the amount from your rent.

Speak with your landlord to see which option they'd prefer.

You can't refuse them entry. You have two choices, or rather, the landlord does. Pay for you to live in a hotel/motel for the five days while you pay your rent, or you pay to live somewhere and get a rent credit for the five days. You cannot legally interfere with a landlord making improvements to their property with advance notice. Refusal can get you evicted.

You cannot stop them, but I see no reason you cannot reside there while they do the work. If you have to be out, LL must refund you rent for those days.

A tenant has the right to stay at home while the repairs are going on but it is the duty of the landlord to keep the disruption to the minimum. In some cases when the repairs are major the tenant is required to leave the house for a short period of time or the landlord can also take steps to end your tenancy
