How much alcohol can you carry on a plane?

This is for the luggage that goes underneath in cargo not for the carry on. I know certain planes have weight limits. We might be flying in the near future and want to stock up with bottles of different brands. We usually go with United.

It totally depends on your weights limits for your luggage. If you love to fly another country then be aware about alcohol limits in each country.

The amount of alcohol you can take in cargo can’t be so much that it appears your going to on sell it, and regardless of the amount you need to be aware of the Duty Free limits.

You also need to be aware of the weigh limit, which is usually 20-30 kg per person

You may carry what you want. Liquid is heavy about 2 pounds per quart.
Wrap your bottles well . They can bump against each other and break inside your luggage.

There are some restrictions imposed by states on how much liquor you can bring into the state. The taxman wants his portion of your wallet.
Just be prepared to pay tax if it is a large amount.

Not sure why you need to stock up in your luggage. Liquor is not hard to purchase at most destinations.
You can fill your suitcases if you want too.

Technically as much as you want but keeping in mind that you generally have to pay for checked baggage so depending on the value of said alcohol, it might not be worth it unless you're traveling to somewhere that doesn't have liqour stores like villages in alaska. You can only check alcohol. Technically you can have some in your carryon but they have to be 100 ml or less and in a 1 quart bag

Your airline will tell you weight limits for your luggage, no matter what is in your cases. If you are flying to another country, be aware of the limits that country has about importing alcohol (and tobacco or cigarettes); if you are over the limit you will have to pay import taxes, or the alcohol might be confiscated. Pack it well, you don't want to have broken bottles!
