Republicans are the tax cut and spend party. Democrats are the tax and spend party. That means Democrats raise more revenue than Republicans. More revenue means less of a deficit. Under Arnold Schwarzenneger, California has a huge budge deficit because he refused to raise taxes. Under Jerry Brown, California has a surplus because he convinced folks to raise taxes on rich people and raise sales taxes.

Republicans also like to waste money on the military. Further Republican economic policy (supply side or trickle down economics) does not work. When the economy tanks, and taxes are cut for the rich, while military spending is increased, you end up with a huge budget deficit. It is a triple whammy.

Little early to be hittin' the pipe, ain't it?

The national debt DOUBLED under Obama.

Lowering payments (deficit spending) only makes the debt worse.

Republicans tend to borrow more to make up the shortfall.
