Why do Democrats keeping talking about Trump going bankrupt like it's a dark secret of his past when really it's his whole story?

He's the comeback kid. He was billions in debt and bankrupt but fought back and became the biggest real estate developer in NYC and one of the biggest in the World! He says so in his opening monologue of the Apprentice for crying out loud! It's not some deep dark secret it's his life story, from riches, to bankruptcy, to coming back to being king of New York real estate and then the Presidency

Here's the first episode ever of the Apprentice where he tells his comeback story

So Trump's secret plan is to run up the deficits so high Ameria goes bankrupt and then he can heroically eliminate all that debt held by the suckers who bought US bonds?

BTW, does Trump's comeback story include the hundreds of millions his daddy transferred to him to help him come back? Comebacks are always easier with a deep-pockets daddy.

*** update ***
The central component of Trump coming out of bankruptcy was using the bankruptcy laws to shed all his debt. His creditors were the losers - they never got their money back. That's why no domestic bank would lend him money. Do you think stiffing all the holders of American debt is a good long-term plan for our nation?

Perhaps you're starting to realize that bankruptcy of a nation is VERY different from bankruptcy of an indivindual? Can you move on to the corollary that debt for a nation is very different from debt for an indivindual? Questioning one's assumptions is often the first step towards wisdom.
