Why is coloratura soprano Audrey Luna doing this?

Question

Audrey Luna seems to be able to hit high notes in the stratosphere and I just cannot help but wonder how she's hitting high A's on a ''ya''. Why is that?

Is she directing her voice forward and creating a small narrow laserbeam-like space? That's how I rationalise it personally. It doesn't sound pharyngeal but I'm sure in order to sing extreme high notes she's narrowing the space so as to use more of that bratty sound.

note: I am not very familiar with operatic technique. I used to like opera and pursued opera technique but I became interested in how Thomas Appell teaches so I decided to somewhat ditch opera...emphasis on somewhat. Thanks

WHY?  She is a career coloratura soprano, that is why.  If you mean HOW - well, you can read about her all over the Net - and all the many many years of fine education she has had.  This is NOT "stand on one foot while tugging on the opposite ear, and making a WHEEE sound on a high note." As someone who taught voice and choral music for 30 years, and has three professional concert and opera singers in the family ( and four choral directors and voice teachers) I can tell you that question like yours cannot be answers in a paragraph here.  You work your way up to the finest teacher you can - and then in late twenties or early thirties, you are ready to START doing really well.
