For more meaningless trivia, I recall reading in a car enthusiast magazine that the car was a rare and expensive Facel Vega FV3B (a French attempt to compete with the fashionable 2-door coupes of Aston Martin and Mercedes)... also, there was a theory circulated around 2010 that Camus may have been targeted for assassination by the KGB because of his anti-Soviet writings...
