Would you move away from your hometown by yourself?

I’m 22 single and I don’t have any children and I’m thinking about moving to Arizona. I like it because it’s on the west coast and it’s not as expensive as California or Vegas. I don’t know anyone out there but I really want to do it while I’m young and don’t have that many responsibilities. I’m originally from the Midwest and I’ve been to a lot of cities and I know for sure that I like AZ. I feel like if I don’t do it now I might not might not have the opportunity later in life. What do you guys think???

I moved from Il to AZ when I was about 22. I had a friend there I lived with before I got my own place.
My friends daughter moved for. IL to NC. She researched areas, cost of livening, apartment rent. Started fill out job application. Took three months to get an interview. She flew there, interviewed and had appointments at three apartment complexes. Got the job, got an apartment tent and moved 9 days later.

AZ isn't the west coast and it's not near any beaches. I moved away from my parents' home when I was 18 to a town where I didn't know anyone, but moved back a couple years later. I'm 23 now and planning to leave again to another place where I don't know anyone. It's not hard to move and get situated and it's better to do so before getting older.

Arizona is not on the west coast. That's like saying Ohio is on the east coast.

Moving some place on your own at an early age is a great idea if you have the ability. In a few years you will not have the opportunity to do such things.

I not only would, I did. 3,000 miles from my home town. First time when I was 19, then moved back for a few years, then moved again, permanently, to the same place when I was 23. I did have one friend in the place I moved to, but no family. Arizona may be in the west but is not on the west coast.

You only live once. Why not? And it’s not like you have to stay there if you don’t like it.
