Is it true that conservatives are motivated by reason and liberals are motivated by emotion?

That is true. Conservative have a stronger foundation of fixed principles, liberals are transitory. If liberal thinking changes, it is changed by emotion. It is that emotional reasoning that allows for the famous democrat double standard, i.e. one set of rules for conservatives, a different and variable set for liberals. A recent classic is Joe Biden admitting to corruption on video and that is OK, by applying the emotional double standard, but to investigate Joe's corruption by republicans is corruption in itself. Even though the democrats have been investigating and trying to find corruption on the republicans for 3+ years. It requires a double standard.

No that is false. Trumpism is the politics of white grievance which is based on emotional appeals

Yes and you can see it happening in the current impeachment inquiry.

So far, Shifty Schiff has no hard facts against President Trump. The written evidence does not support his view and neither do the "witnesses". Not that many people being called as witnesses actually witnessed anything.

They just heard stuff from others and read the NYT and that includes the actual whistleblower.

Their evidence is full of how they felt. How something made them feel and what they thought. The libs are lapping it all up.

No.  Most everyone is motivated by both in different ratios.

Case by case is the best way to determine an individuals motivation, imo.

Both are influenced by reason and emotion also life experiences.  Both think they are correct.  I'm just being honest.
