Toyotas have the reputation for being among the most reliable brands. When buying used, you have to temper that fact with the vagaries of how a former owner may have driven and maintained the vehicle. If you don't know how to determine that then it is money well spent to pay a shop that is unaffiliated with the seller to do a thorough test drive and pre-buy inspection.

Discontinued. Toyota already has a few vehicles of that type and size to choose from. Not sure, but I'll bet it's built on the Camry  platform, just like the minivan. Bottom line is, you can't go  wrong with one, regardless of which platform it's on.

P.S. Don't get AWD unless you NEED it. It's extra weight and more parts to need service or wear out.

Don't own one personally but one of my neighbours' has one.  They are a retired couple and do quite a bit of travelling with it.

They are overall pleased with it but did mention the factory navigation system lags to the point of them not using it.
