If a proven criminal appointed a Supreme Court Justice, can said justice be impeached?

Supreme Court judges have to be nominated by the President and confirmed by the US Senate. So if an opening on the court occurred Trump could appoint a criminal and get the Republican Senate to confirm him I guess. However ALL federal judges are subject to impeachment, under the exact same rules as the President. Interestingly, most federal judges removed from office were impeached for incompetence, not actual criminal behavior.
