How do you develop interest in other cultures without xenophobic people hating you?  ?

For instance, I have always been interested in other cultures, especially the ones that I think are highly misunderstood or stereotyped in a negative way. For example, I think there’s a lot people could learn about Arab culture, that often goes misunderstood. So I’m wondering how to learn more about it, without Anti-Arab people casting their hateful comments on me. Although, I also am interested in many other cultures as well like Latin American, Asian, European, etc.

I guess I don’t want to deal with ignorance based comments or get into huge arguments with people.

There are few things that attract my attention. Cultural aspects aren't one of them. I don't know much about other cultures, not even my own. Maybe that's why I can't say I particularly love or hate any culture. At most, I may dislike or like certain aspects of a culture.

Xenophobic people are a minority, and all cultures are hated by at least some individuals. Some people also hate gays, women, men, POC, whites, atheists, christians, muslims, humans, animals...

The heck with what other people think of you. You want to educate yourself. GO for it.
When someone starts with a stupid comment put your hand up- palm out- and tell the person to talk to the hand bc you aren't listening.
