It's not a quote from any John Wayne movie. The term 'pony soldier' appears in the movie Hondo, but the rest of Biden's screed might be authentic frontier gibberish.

Joe dug so deep down in the mine to toss that insult out. Not even the press could figure it out. It is a old insult. Pre WW1. It was a very high insult. Dog face what Ameican natives called white men with beards. As they have no face hair. So white men looked like dogs to them. Pony soldier black calvery troops, So a white face hiding man so low as unfit for his own race. reduced to serving with black troops. Low as you could go in the military pre WW1. Whos word is worth nothing. & unfit to even sleep in the baracks with others.

I'm sure she was as confused as Billie Eilish at the Oscars trying to figure out why a song that was released the year she was born was being honored onstage.

Quote or not............calling a woman "dog faced"........joke or not.......was incredibly stupid.
I've been an ardent supporter of Biden.......and won't throw him to the dogs, (just yet) over one poor choice of words.......but, it was a pretty stupid thing to say .
She asked a legit question, and even if it's an exact John Wayne quote......how the hell did it answer her question?
One more gaff that bad, and I will have to throw in the towel and go with Bloomberg, as much as I don't want to .
