How do I keep my hair looking like the way it is when I take my braids out?

So I have straight hair. And usually when I take my braids out I get a nice curly/frizzy Afro. I wanna know what can I do to keep my hair looking that way after I shower and so forth? Because after I wash my hair it just goes back to being straight.

If you don't shower at night, wet your hair/dampen it, braid your hair, and sleep in that overnight. Then in the morning, take out the braids and your hair will look like that throughout the day. But you have to dampen the hair.
