i live in TN and have been on unemployment since march 23, 2020. i was just wondering if anyone currently on UI has received the extra $600 as of today. any information on will it is supposed to kick in is appreciated. ive heard retroactive as of april 6th 2020.

it is supposed to be retroactive to later of when you became unemployed or when the law was passed. However, the states are in charge of actual distribution so you have to sign up at your state's unemployment insurance portal online first. Since you didn't say where you are, we can't help further

I've still not received confirmation of my UI application, it says to call & the phone line goes to a recording for the last 2 weeks.

Unemployment compensation and rules are different in every state - if you are in the USA.
