I have a poor chest voice. Should I keep trying to improve it or should I just learn to use mixed/head voice for high notes?
Typically I can t "belt" (ie. chest voice) notes above F#4 unless I m having an ideal vocal day. I need to be on the brink of hungry to use my chest voice for higher notes too. Due to it being very finnicky should I just focus on using mixed/head voice (even falsetto) for higher notes by thinning out the vowels, or should I keep trying to work on head voice, as frustrating as it is?
Alot of the songs I like to sing are sung by male tenor voices. I think I m a baritenor, but definitely most comfortable in the 3rd octave.
