They generally have wide rear wheels with plenty of grip, but they also have (by comparison) less advanced suspension. So if you are going fast enough and cornering harder than they are intended you can provoke loss of grip. The highside comes when the rear wheel slides, grips and digs in hard enough to flick the bike over, rider flies. It does not hurt. Until you land.
