Google Earth Pro 7.3.3 cannot use my saved KMZ file. I do not know how to convert to KML as I continue to get Parser Errors.?

Anyone know how to convert KMZ to KML with no errors? I cannot find a forum for Google Earth Pro questions.

I have spent a lot of time finding places in Google Earth, it is a lot of work. I don't want to lose this work. Google forced me to save as KMZ in the past. Now they provide no easy way to convert to KML.

KMZ is a Zip-compressed KML file. Rename it from example.kmz to example.zip and decompress it. 

However, Google Earth is supposed to know how to open both kinds. There may be something else at play like a damaged file.
