As a lightskin male to any other, do you feel as if you have a sense of belonging?

White people dont like us because they assume we’re mixed therefore you get treated like your community. The community you love and feel for despise and looks down on you for not being a darker skin tone, and because the privilege with your skin. So now your left with no community and that usual racist or all round hatred for darker tones. Personally I don’t have active parents so that + being lightskin leaves me to believe I’m alone.

I agree with this. This is why light skin & mixed ppl in other countries like South Africa formed their own group.

Light skin women are elevated, worshipped and embraced in the black community. However, light skin men are ignored (unless you’re somebody extraordinary like Obama who they can milk for bragging points). Dark skin blacks love emasculating lighter skin men due to their own insecurities..

There’s benefits to being light skin since lighter skin blacks are usually preferred over darker ones under the system of white supremacy. I’ve seen sources that say they’re perceived as less threatening, somewhat more likely to get and less likely to be incarcerated than darker blacks.
