We are NOT “locked down”. Most states began reopening and ended their stay-at-home orders in May. No state in the country is currently on lockdown.

We never were fully locked down like other countries, which is why they contained the virus and are all opened up again and we still have over 1,000 people dying every day. You may think 6% doesn't sound like much unless it's you or your family who dies. Also, the virus is very extreme in the illness people go through and the problems they have afterwards, even if they live.

We are locked down because everyone except Trump cares about people's lives. There are at least 183,000 dead Americans because of the virus (the number of excess deaths is actually over 200,000 above the same period of time as last year). And Trump does not give a rat's rear end. He only cares about one thing, and that is to be re-elected so he can stay out of prison. Nothing else matters to him.
