How will libtards enforce gun control if they defund the police, and how will they make people pay taxes?

Taxes are collected by the police when you fail to pay your taxes. My brother from
another mother and his wife found this out when they missed a tax and the sheriff
came a knocking and took DVDs and electronics to sell for missed taxes. I wish I
saved the Facebook video she made of that telling people the police can do that
and know what that is called.

Oh they will fund the police just enough for gun control and tax collection and useless
fees and city codes.

Well taxes aren't collected by the police.  So that has no impact one way or another.

But you also misunderstand what the "Defund the Police" movement seeks.  This isn't surprising because, in the words of Democratic Rep Karen Bass, "Defund the Police is the dumbest slogan in history".  When people hear it what they think it means is "zero out the budget of the police department" and essentially end the police.  And you're right that if that were the goal it would render it functionally impossible to police various laws, not only gun laws but others.

But that's not what "defund the police" means.  What it means is take some of the money which is currently going to fund traditional armed policing and switch it into other government services to better tackle wider social problems.  In particular, when it comes to maintaining law and order, many supporters of this campaign want to shift some of the responsibilities from the police to other types of professionals.  So, for example, when you have someone who is mentally ill and doing something which is disruptive but not inherently criminal, why call the police?  THey don't have training to deal with mentally ill people.  Instead you might call a mental health professional who could deal with this.  The real life example I give is of Rayshard Brooks.  He's the guy in Atlanta who was shot dead by the cops after an altercation which began when he drunkenly fell asleep in a fast food drive thru.  Now, someone had to respond to that because you can't just go passing out in a drive thru.  But the cops have no training about substance abuse.  They're trained to lock people up.  And when they tried to lock Brooks up, things escalated.  Brooks ended up dead.  The cops ended up out of a job and IIRC charged with a crime.  And the restaurant owner had his business burned down by Brooks' girlfriend.  Everyone in this scenario would have been better off if someone else, not a cop, had come and dealt with this, someone who knew how to handle substance abuse problems.  They could have resolved the original, non criminal, incident and gotten Brooks the help he needed.  He'd be alive.  The cops would still be on the job.  The restaurant would still be there.  Atlanta would have been more peaceful.  The whole idea behind this is actually that we're asking cops to do too much and to take on responsibilities that they're not really equipped for.  Cops are supposed to fight crime and lock people up, not deal with homelessness, drug addiction, and mental illness.

Gordo, you just don't get it. Here it is, in black & white: Guns & ammo will be the last Right taken. You fret over that & forget the 1st, Second, Fourth & Fifth. The Obama Administration used the phone, smart TV, Facial Recognition (traffic camera's, etc.) & everything else on you. The 5th is gone. You're no longer secure in your home. The House decides your Rights, not the Tenth.
What do you have worth fighting for?

It's too bad you people need everything explained to you multiple times, and then you still refuse to accept the explanation. "Defunding" the police does not mean getting rid of the police. It mean reallocating SOME of the funds they receive for other "forms of public safety and community support". For instance, when a police station receives 5 armored personnel carriers, perhaps there would be a wiser way to spend that money.

The courts enforce taxes. Not police. I don't support gun control. I will be armed to the teeth.  Trump will not be allowed to overthrow the Constitution and make a dictatorship.
