How do Democrats feel about “Turning Texas Blue” after losing the early vote in Texas by 18%?

Forbes: Trump By A Landslide In Texas? Early Voting Numbers Are Diverging Strongly From The Polls
“NBC News has analyzed Texas’ early and by mail voting through Oct. 26, finding that 54% of those voting early are Republican vs. 36% Democrat and 10% other or unknown.”

So there's a couple things.  No actual vote totals are released yet.  So any analysis of early voting is only based on party registration.  So it's imperfect.  Second, the polls show Biden and Trump tied in Texas.  Given the margin of error that could leave Biden a few points behind or a few points ahead.  Third, a close race for Trump in Texas would be an absolutely terrible sign.  If he's doing that bad in Texas then how can he hope to win states like Michigan and North Carolina?  Fourth, the Democratic turnout has other implications beyond the presidency.  Democrats are looking to pick up a number of House seats this cycle.  They're also trying to win one of the chambers of the Texas legislature.  That would give them a voice in redistricting.

This is not the year Texas turns blue. It will be close, but I think Trump wins Texas by about 2.5%.

I question those estimates.  If they were true it would mean that Trump was blowing away his 2016 numbers.  That doesn't seem likely.
