What do you mean by "the educational system"? Certainly there are individual professors that have taken credit for things their students have done. There are doctors who have taken credit for what their lab assistants or nurses have done. There are bosses in all sorts of fields who have claimed credit for what their employees have done. No doubt there are people in every field who have taken credit when they didn't deserve to.
But how does "a system" take credit? I believe that is something only human beings can do.
