how to overcome jealousy ?

i am 16 years old and my sister is 13. She already has a boyfriend and is much more popular than me. I on the other hand have literally no friends and never dated anyone. I always feel really jealous of her because her life is so much better than mine. Why can’t I have lots of friends like her? I compare myself so much and it makes me so angry because I am just so depressed overall and I don’t know how to get out of it. Why can’t i just be happy for her?

just know you are where you are meant to be. both my brothers are better than me. i live in their shadows. but i don't envy either of them. i am happy for their success. i know one day my time to shine will arrive if i stay positive and a good person! :)

Instead of comparing yourself to her, because you are not the same person, compare yourself to who you were yesterday. That is how change will occur.
