I keep getting distracted while working. Any tips on how to keep myself focused?

I already have enough trouble starting my work. I often think of something else while I'm working like thinking about a video I saw earlier and looking it up, or a chore I thought of doing (I'm actually procrastinating right now writing this question. lol). I need to stay focused or else I will have so much work backed up. Any tips on how to prevent getting sidetracked?

Getting started is often the hardest thing. This has been used in behavior modification programs since the 1930s. If a task seems like it's too big, think of it as a series of tasks that you can take on one at a time, and start with something really, really easy. Cleaning - start by cleaning for 3 or 4 min and take a 5 min break. Short breaks are good but always watch the clock. Work for slightly longer periods. Soon you’ll be cleaning for a half hour or more. Homework - start by proofreading a paper or by previewing a chapter you're about to read, looking at headings, sub-headings, etc.

Staying on task - if you find yourself dawdling, wasting time while you're working, here's a simple fix. Decide how much time it will take to get a task done and do it in that time, watching the clock.

There's evidence that learning mindfulness meditation helps people stay focused with their work. If you're interested, this has lots of information about how to learn -

Your work is on a computer, so it makes focusing difficult.    Use your distractions as a reward for doing a certain amount of work. Put a timer on so your distractions don't become the main event.

Snap your wrist with a rubber band when you start to drift.
