Traveling through France?
Hi,
I'm traveling to Cairo, from Manchester next week and transiting for 8 hours in Paris.
I have read the rules in the French government website:
https://uk.ambafrance.org/France-to-admit-some-travellers-from-UK-following-suspension
A relative of mine is severely ill and I would like to visit them before they go through their operation.
I have read the below is acceptable:
Third-country nationals spending less than 24 hours in international transit areas;
as a British citizen does this rule apply to me, would I be able to transit through France.
I am not going in France just transiting and I have read the rules in Cairo and they are fine for me.
I'm just worried that I will face problems in France.
Thank you
HI, I'm not worried about the return flight and I know about the 10 day quarantine. what I'm worried is the flight between Manchester and Cairo being stopped in Paris due to the new rules.
Also I heard that a transit Visa is required in Paris, after Brexit in 5 days will UK citizens require a transit Visa.
would I need to go through the passport control in Paris if I'm transiting. sorry I've not travelled in years so I don't know
