If I fully paid for & purchased a piece of land, would I have to deal with any bullsh*t regarding it, like paying some kind of property tax?

..or land owner tax.

Yes ... I still can't understand how we were misled into it but we no longer OWN anything. You just rent from the government any property you own. Whatever shred of rights you had on basically anything else was given away with the 16th amendment. Yet another reason why EVERY piece of legislation should have sunset clauses attached.

Property Tax..............absolutely...........no matter how you paid for it.

Of course you would owe real estate taxes.  You are not taxed on the mortgage, you are taxed on the ownership.

In almost all areas of the US you owe property taxes on any land--whether or not it contains a structure, dwelling or is buildable.  Just because it's paid for in full has no bearing on whether or not you owe taxes. I have no idea if this is the same in other areas of the world.

Not bullshit, but yes there would be tax.
