Why are people depending on the government to raise the minimal wage to $15 per hour?

$15 per hour isn't that much anyway.  So if there is an increase, you will barely be making any money to do anything. So are you going to wait for another minimum wage increase?

Unless you are under the mentality that $15 is WAY BETTER than $7.25, then your set.

Not once have I told myself "I really wish I got paid more. (pause) I'll just wait for the gov to raise the minimum wage"

Raising the minimum wage isn't going to substantially improve anyone's situation. It is a fix, but only a band-aid fix.

What they really need is a high school diploma or a GED so they have something to offer employers who pay higher wages.

They also need to get out of the fast food jobs designed for first time workers.
