Parents: what would you do if your daughter was abusive to her partner?

I would ask my daughter why she was so awful to another person.  What makes her abusive?  She might tell me that her parents abused her in some way and she is just carrying on the family habit.  That won't be nice to listen to as you obviously feel you have been a wonderful parent - but if you cannot speak to your own daughter then you aren't as wonderful as you might think.  Just ask her why?...Show more

I don't think most parents would do anything. But if it was their own son or daughter that was getting abused, they will get involved....Show more
